KHAO YAI ................

Launched in 1962, Khao Yai has been Thailand's first national park. Now it's the second biggest national park in Thailand as well as in 2005, the region together with the surrounding Phaya Yen mountains has been recorded as a UNESCO World Heritage Website . The closest town to the north entry is Pak Chong, which may be reached either through buses or train operating between Bangkok and Korat.

The playground center is the principal place to consume something usually open out of season. Opposite the visitor center there are a lot of food stands overlooking the lake offering meals for approximately 50 baht plus a restaurant where guests can purchase an assortment of Thai dishes. There is an eating place in the Lam Tha Kong camping floor accessible from 8:00-~16:00. The adjoining bite and sundries store is available 7:00-~17:00.
