Khao Lak (เขาหลัก) is a 20 km long strip of coastal hotels in Phang Nga Province about the Andaman Sea shores of Southern Thailand, about 100 km north west of Phuket Town. Contrary to Phuket, the numerous hotels in the Khao Lak area cater largely to households and people searching for peace, quiet, and character. The simplest way to reach Khao Lak would be to fly into Phuket (the nearest choice ) or Krabi and visit Khao Lak out there. Both airports serve global and domestic destinations. Nok Air provides flight+minivan support from Bangkok to Khao Lak v.v. by flying with Nok Air from Bangkok to Krabi and moved on a minivan into Khao Lak. This may be booked directly from their site with cost starting from 1,300 baht. A cab from Phuket airport to Khao Lak prices 1,100-1,600 bahts. Together with the Similan Islands and Surin Islands, home to a fantastic diving 65km abroad, this can be a substantial attraction in the region. Additionally, there are a number of local dive sites to select from and lots of capable regional businesses to direct you. Map dive sites made available by dive facilities in Khao Lak.
